Test B: No Communication With Driver Seat Module (DSM)
NOTE:
Many test steps refer to various connectors. To identify connectors, use illustrations. See Figure
-Figure
.
- Check fuse No. 30 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER DOOR MODULE.
- Measure voltage at input cavity of fuse No. 30 at instrument panel fuse box. If battery voltage exist, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER DOOR MODULE.
- Install fuse No. 30. Disconnect DSM harness connector C313. Measure voltage at terminal No. 14 (Light Green/Purple wire) at DSM harness connector C313. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Light Green/Purple wire.
- Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 1 (Pink/Orange wire) at DSM harness connector C313. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, diagnosis network concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Pink/Orange wire.
