  1. G1 CHECK THE RCM C310b FOR DAMAGE
  2. G2 CHECK HIGH SPEED CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) CIRCUITS 1908 (WH) AND 1909 (BK) BETWEEN THE DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) C251 AND THE RCM C310b FOR AN OPEN
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between the RCM C310b-31, circuit 1908 (WH), harness side and the DLC C251-6, circuit 1908 (WH), harness side; and between the RCM C310b-32, circuit 1909 (BK), harness side and the DLC C251-14, circuit 1909 (BK), harness side.

    • Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
  3. G3 CHECK FOR CORRECT RCM OPERATION
    • Depower the air bag system. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
    • Disconnect all the RCM connectors.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
