Pinpoint Test Q: DTC B113E - Rear Climate Control Switch Circuit Short To Battery

- Q1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1349 (PK/LG) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Rear Redundant Control Module (RRCM).
- Disconnect: Rear climate control switch.
- Measure the resistance between RRCM pin 4, circuit 1349 (PK/LG) and the rear climate control switch pin 2, circuit 1349 (PK/LG).
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to Q2.
- No : REPAIR circuit 1349 (PK/LG) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Q2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1349 (PK/LG) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Measure the voltage between rear climate control switch pin 2, circuit 1349 (PK/LG) and ground.
- Is voltage present?
- Yes : REPAIR circuit 1349 (PK/LG) for a short to voltage. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : GO to Q3.
- Q3 CHECK CIRCUIT 676 (PK/OG) FOR GROUND
- Measure the resistance between rear climate control switch pin 3, circuit 676 (PK/OG) and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new rear climate control switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR circuit 676 (PK/OG) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
