Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the RF door scuff plate.
  3. Remove the RH cowl side trim panel.
  4. Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the PCM mounting nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  6. Lower the glove box past the stops and disconnect the cable from the side of the glove box.

  7. Remove the PCM bracket bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  8. Remove the pin-type retainer and position the sound deadening insulation upward.

  9. Remove the lower screw for the fuel pump driver module and position back and disconnect the electrical connector.

  10. Remove the PCM and bracket as an assembly.
  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
