Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES
.
- Remove the RF door scuff plate.
- Remove the RH cowl side trim panel.
- Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.
- Remove the PCM mounting nuts.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Lower the glove box past the stops and disconnect the cable from the side of the glove box.

- Remove the PCM bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the pin-type retainer and position the sound deadening insulation upward.

- Remove the lower screw for the fuel pump driver module and position back and disconnect the electrical connector.

- Remove the PCM and bracket as an assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
