Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module

The RFA  module (if equipped) (located behind the glove compartment) receives inputs from/controls the components/systems listed below:

• Backup transceiver (located in the glove compartment)
• Initial engagement of the starter
• IA 
• Keyless entry keypad
• Luggage compartment lid ajar switch (located in the luggage compartment lid latch)
• Luggage compartment lid latch release
• Passive start antenna, console (front)
• Passive start antenna, console (rear)
• Passive start antenna, seat (rear)
• PATS 
• Perimeter anti-theft
• Power door locks (including smart locks, autolocking and luggage compartment lid release)
• Remote Functions Receiver (RFR) module (located above the headliner near the RH visor)
• Start/stop switch (located in the instrument panel, right of the steering column)

The RFA  module (PATS  with push button start) includes some of the functions that usually are controlled by the SJB  on vehicles with PATS  only. The IA  system is also contained in the RFA  module. Refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
