DTC U0428: Invalid Data Received from the Steering Angle Sensor Module: Action

CARRY OUT a self-test of the SCCM. If the diagnostic scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If SCCM DTCs are present, REFER to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES . If there are no DTCs in the SCCM, SET the ignition to OFF.

DISCONNECT and INSPECT all SCCM and SASM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
