DTC U053B: Invalid Data Received from Image Processing Module A: Action

CARRY OUT a self-test of the IPM-A. If the diagnostic scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If IPM-A DTCs are present, REFER to REAR VIEW MIRRORS . If there are no DTCs in the IPM-A, SET the ignition to OFF.

DISCONNECT and INSPECT all IPM-A electrical connectors and related inline connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
