Starting System: Notes

The starting system consists of the following:

Without Intelligent Access 

• Fuse(s)
• Battery
• Battery cables
• Ignition switch
• Starter motor
• Starter relay (located in the Battery Junction Box (BJB))
• Run/start relay (located in the Battery Junction Box (BJB))
• PCM (located on the RH side of cowl)
• Body Control Module (BCM)
• Transmission Range (TR) sensor (located inside the transmission)
• Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT)
• Remote start feature, initiated by pressing a sequence of buttons on the IKT

With Intelligent Access 

• Fuse(s)
• Battery
• Battery cables
• Start/stop switch
• Brake switch
• Starter motor
• Starter relay (located in the BJB)
• Run/start relay (located in the Battery Junction Box (BJB))
• PCM (located on the RH side of cowl)
• BCM
• TR sensor (located inside the transmission)
• Intelligent Access (IA) key
• Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module
• Remote start feature, initiated by pressing a sequence of buttons on the IA key
