DTC U0420: Invalid Data Received From PSCM (power steering control module)

Failure	Action
00	This DTC sets if the ABS module receives invalid steering wheel torque Information. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all PSCM DTCs. REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in the Power Steering article. If no PSCM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all PSCM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
41	This DTC sets if the steering wheel angle sensor checksum is invalid. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all PSCM DTCs. REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in the Power Steering article. If no PSCM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all PSCM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
82	This DTC sets if the steering wheel angle sensor rolling counter message is out of range. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all PSCM DTCs. REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in the Power Steering article. If no PSCM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all PSCM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
86	This DTC sets if the information in the steering wheel angle sensor message is out of range or invalid. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all PSCM DTCs. REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in Power Steering article. If no PSCM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF.
