Pinpoint Test Ah : No Ms-Can Communication, All Modules Are Not Responding

NOTE: Various modules set network DTCs during this test procedure. Clear DTCs from all modules after completing the diagnostic procedure.
NOTE: Failure to disconnect the battery when instructed results in false resistance readings. Refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables .

  1. AH1 CHECK THE DLC PINS FOR DAMAGE

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Disconnect the scan tool cable from the Data Link Connector (DLC).

    • Inspect the DLC pins 3 and 11 for damage.

    Are DLC pins 3 and 11 OK? 

    Yes  GO to  AH2.
    No  REPAIR the DLC as necessary.
  2. AH2 CHECK THE MS-CAN TERMINATION RESISTANCE

    • Disconnect: Negative Battery Cable.

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Is the resistance between 54 and 66 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH3.
    No  GO to  AH5.
  3. AH3 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) - Ground
      C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG) - Ground

    Are the resistances greater than 1, 000 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH4.
    No  GO to  AH12.
  4. AH4 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    • Connect the negative battery cable.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Measure the voltage  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) - Ground
      C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG) - Ground

    Are the voltages greater than 6 volts? 

    Yes  REPAIR the circuit in question.
    No  GO to  AH13.
  5. AH5 CHECK THE MS-CAN TERMINATION RESISTOR

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Is the resistance between 108 and 132 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH6.
    No  GO to  AH9.
  6. AH6 CHECK THE MS-CAN TERMINATION RESISTOR WITH THE BCM DISCONNECTED

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Is the resistance between 108 and 132 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH7.
    No  GO to  AH8.
  7. AH7 CHECK THE MS-CAN CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE BCM AND THE DLC FOR AN OPEN

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C2280B-38 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG)
      C2280B-39 VDB07 (VT/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Are the resistances less than 3 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH24.
    No  REPAIR the circuit in question.
  8. AH8 CHECK THE MS-CAN CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE HVAC MODULE AND THE DLC FOR AN OPEN

    • Disconnect: HVAC Module C228A (DATC).

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C228A-12 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG)
      C228A-13 VDB07 (VT/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Are the resistances less than 3 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH30.
    No  REPAIR the circuit in question.
  9. AH9 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit

    Is the resistance less than 3 ohms? 

    Yes  GO to  AH11.
    No  GO to  AH10.
  10. AH10 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms? 

    Yes  REPAIR the DLC or REPAIR the circuit.
    No  A capacitor internal to a module may still be draining, causing irregular resistance readings. WAIT 5 minutes. REPEAT the pinpoint test.
  11. AH11 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER WITH THE MODULES DISCONNECTED

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG)

    • Disconnect the following modules one at a time until the resistance is greater than 5 ohms.

      • DSM C341D (if equipped)

      • HSWM C2406 (if equipped)

      • SOD-L C4230 (if equipped)

      • SOD-R C4229 (if equipped)

      • TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) C9047

      • RFA module C2153E (if equipped)

      • HVAC module C228A (DATC)

    Did the resistance change to greater than 5 ohms with one of the modules disconnected? 

    Yes  For the APIM, GO to  AH24. For the BCM, GO to  AH25. For the DDM, GO to  AH26. For the DSM, GO to  AH27. For the DCSM, GO to  AH28. For the HSWM, GO to  AH29. For the HVAC module, GO to  AH30. For the RHVAC module, GO to  AH31. For the LTM module, GO to  AH32. For the PCSM-2, GO to  AH33. For the RFA module, GO to  AH34. For the SOD-L, GO to  AH35. For the SOD-R, GO to  AH36. For the TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]), GO to  AH37.
    No  REPAIR circuits for a short together. CONNECT all modules.
  12. AH12 CHECK THE MS-CAN (+) AND MS-CAN (-) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND WITH THE MODULES DISCONNECTED

    • Measure the resistance  between:
      Positive Lead Negative Lead
      Pin Circuit Pin Circuit
      C251-3 VDB06 (GY/OG) - Ground
      C251-11 VDB07 (VT/OG) - Ground

    • Disconnect the following modules one at a time until the resistance is greater than 1, 000 ohms.

      • DSM C341D (if equipped)

      • HSWM C2406 (if equipped)

      • SOD-L C4230 (if equipped)

      • SOD-R C4229 (if equipped)

      • TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) C9047

      • RFA module C2153E (if equipped)

      • HVAC module C228A (DATC)

    Did the resistance change to greater than 1, 000 ohms with one of the modules disconnected? 

    Yes  For the APIM, GO to  AH24. For the BCM, GO to  AH25. For the DDM, GO to  AH26. For the DSM, GO to  AH27. For the DCSM, GO to  AH28. For the HSWM, GO to  AH29. For the HVAC module, GO to  AH30. For the RHVAC module, GO to  AH31. For the LTM module, GO to  AH32. For the PCSM-2, GO to  AH33. For the RFA module, GO to  AH34. For the SOD-L, GO to  AH35. For the SOD-R, GO to  AH36. For the TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]), GO to  AH37.
    No  REPAIR the circuit in question.
  13. AH13 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE BCM DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM fuse 18 (10A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Repeat the network test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to Pinpoint Test C .
    No  INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to  AH14.
  14. AH14 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE APIM DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM fuse 9 (10A) to disable the APIM..

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuse.GO to Pinpoint Test M .
    No  INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to  AH15.
  15. AH15 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE DISABLED PCSM-2

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BJB fuse 29 (30A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Repeat the network test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to Pinpoint Test AC .
    No  INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to  AH16.
  16. AH16 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE DDM DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM Fuse 7 (7.5A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL removed fuse.GO to Pinpoint Test Z .
    No  INSTALL removed fuse. GO to  AH17.
  17. AH17 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE SOD-L, SOD-R AND THE HVAC MODULE DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM Fuses 34 (10A) and 46 (10A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuses. If the vehicle is not equipped with a blind spot monitor, GO to Pinpoint Test W . If the vehicle is equipped with a blind spot monitor, GO to  AH18.
    No  INSTALL the removed fuses. GO to  AH19.
  18. AH18 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE SOD-L, SOD-R AND THE HVAC MODULE DISCONNECTED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect modules one at a time until other MS-CAN modules pass the network test. Skip to the end once network operation is restored.

    • Disconnect: SOD-L C4230 (if equipped).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Disconnect: SOD-R C4229 (if equipped).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Disconnect: HVAC Module C228A (DATC).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  CONNECT all modules. For restored operation with the SOD-L disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test T . For restored operation with the SOD-R disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test U . For restored operation with the HVAC module disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test W .
    No  CONNECT all modules. The MS-CAN tests within specification. VERIFY the correct operation of the scan tool on a known good vehicle.
  19. AH19 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE RHVAC MODULE DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM Fuse 6 (5A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuse. If the vehicle is not equipped with dual heated or memory seats or heated steering wheel, GO to Pinpoint Test X . If the vehicle is equipped with dual heated or memory seats or heated steering wheel, GO to  AH20.
    No  INSTALL the removed fuses. If the vehicle is equipped with RFA module, GO to  AH21. If the vehicle is not equipped with RFA module, GO to  AH22.
  20. AH20 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE DSM, DCSM, TPM MODULE (RADIO TRANSCEIVER MODULE [RTM]), AND THE HSWM DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BJB Fuses 23 (10A), 28 (30A) and BCM Fuses 9 (10A), 7 (7.5) and 36 (10A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Repeat the network test.

    Do all other modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuses. If the vehicle is not equipped with dual heated or memory seats or heated steering wheel, GO to Pinpoint Test R . If the vehicle is equipped with dual heated or memory seats or heated steering wheel, GO to  AH21.
    No  INSTALL the removed fuses. If the vehicle is equipped with RFA module, GO to  AH22. If the vehicle is not equipped with RFA module, GO to  AH23.
  21. AH21 CHECK FOR RESTORED COMMUNICATION WITH THE DSM, DCSM, TPM MODULE, AND THE HSWM DISCONNECTED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect modules one at a time until other MS-CAN modules pass the network test. Skip to the end once network operation is restored.

    • Disconnect: DSM C341D (if equipped).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Disconnect: TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) C9047 .

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Disconnect: HSWM C2406 (if equipped).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other MS-CAN modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  CONNECT all modules. For restored operation with the DSM disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test V . For restored operation with the DCSM disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test AB . For restored operation with the TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test R . For restored operation with the HSWM disconnected, GO to Pinpoint Test AA .
    No  CONNECT all modules. The MS-CAN tests within specification. VERIFY the correct operation of the scan tool on a known good vehicle.
  22. AH22 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE RFA MODULE DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BCM Fuses 11 (10A) and 27 (10A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    • Repeat the network test.

    Do all other modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuses. GO to Pinpoint Test L .
    No  INSTALL the removed fuses. GO to  AH23.
  23. AH23 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE LTM DISABLED

    NOTE: When re-running the network test, close the Network Test application first or the screen display reverts back to the prior run Network Test results.

    • Disconnect: BJB Fuse 7 (30A) and BCM Fuse 8 (10A).

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

    Do all other modules pass the network test? 

    Yes  INSTALL the removed fuses. GO to Pinpoint Test AF .
    No  INSTALL the removed fuses. The MS-CAN tests within specification. VERIFY the correct operation of the scan tool on a known good vehicle.
  24. AH24 CHECK THE APIM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect the APIM connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect the APIM connector and make sure it seats correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, refer to APIM HARDWARE TESTING .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. with the scan tool. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  25. AH25 CHECK THE BCM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the BCM connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the BCM connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, refer to BCM HARDWARE TESTING .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  26. AH26 CHECK THE DDM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the DDM connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the DDM connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. modules. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  27. AH27 CHECK THE DSM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the DSM connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the DSM connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new DSM. REFER to DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  28. AH28 CHECK THE DCSM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the DCSM connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the DCSM connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new DCSM. REFER to DUAL CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEAT MODULE (DCSM) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  29. AH29 CHECK THE HSWM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect the HSWM connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect the HSWM connector and make sure it seats correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new HSWM. REFER to Steering Column .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  30. AH30 CHECK THE HVAC MODULE FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the HVAC module connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the HVAC module connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to Climate Control .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  31. AH31 CHECK THE RHVAC MODULE FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the RHVAC module connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the RHVAC module connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RHVAC module. REFER to Auxiliary Climate Control .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  32. AH32 CHECK THE LTM FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the LTM connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the LTM connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new LTM. REFER to Body Closures .

  33. AH33 CHECK THE PCSM-2 FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the PCSM-2 connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the PCSM-2 connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PCSM-2. REFER to PASSENGER CLIMATE - CONTROLLED SEAT MODULE (PCSM-2) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  34. AH34 CHECK THE RFA MODULE FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect all the RFA module connectors.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect all the RFA module connectors and make sure they are seated correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RFA module. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  35. AH35 CHECK THE SOD-L FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect the SOD-L connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect the SOD-L connector and make sure it seats correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new SOD-L. REFER to Side and Rear Vision .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  36. AH36 CHECK THE SOD-R FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect the SOD-R connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect the SOD-R connector and make sure it seats correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new SOD-R. REFER to Side and Rear Vision .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
  37. AH37 CHECK THE TPM MODULE (RADIO TRANSCEIVER MODULE [RTM]) FOR CORRECT OPERATION

    • Disconnect the TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (replace connector or terminals - clean module pins)

      • damaged or bent pins - replace terminals/pins

      • pushed-out pins - replace pins as necessary

    • Connect the TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]) connector and make sure it seats correctly.

    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new TPM module (Radio Transceiver Module [RTM]). REFER to Wheels and Tires .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
