When this DTC sets, steering assist is unaffected during the current drive cycle. During the next drive cycle, the EPAS system enters a reduced assist mode.

When this DTC is set, the PSCM sends a message to the IPC to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.

DTC U0121:xx indicates a possible failure of the HS-CAN which can be due to a circuit fault in the HS-CAN, the PSCM wiring harness or an ABS module concern.

Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for a PSCM DTC U0121:xx.
