Steering Effort Control Module (vehicles equipped with adaptive steering)

The steering wheel contains the Steering Effort Control Module (SECM), which provides power and ground to the adaptive steering motor.

The SECM cannot be serviced independently. It is only replaced as an assembly with the steering wheel.

The SECM requires PMI when replaced.
