Test Procedure

  1. QC1 CHECK FOR PTO 

    Is the vehicle equipped with PTO? 

    Yes No
    GO to  QC2. INFORM the customer the law in your area may require additional driving to complete an inspection/maintenance test.
  2. QC2 CHECK THE PTO PID 
    • Ignition ON, engine running.
    • Access the PCM and monitor the PTO_STATUS (MODE) PID.
    • Cycle the PTO switch/actuator ON and OFF. (Follow the PTO aftermarket instructions).

    Does the PTO PID cycle ON and OFF? 

    Yes No
    INFORM the customer the law in your area may require additional driving to complete an inspection/maintenance test. GO to PINPOINT TEST FB .
