Approach Detection

When the approach detection feature is active, the BCM uses the door keyless antennas, the keyless entry antenna and the approach detection antenna to detect a valid programmed passive key when approaching within 2.7 m (8.5 ft) of the vehicle. When the BCM detects a valid programmed passive key, the illuminated entry feature activates.
