- Description
- The PSCM continually monitors the motor current sensor when the ignition is ON and the voltage supply to the PSCM is above 5.13 volts. If an error is detected, a DTC is set.

- When this DTC sets, the PSCM uses a backup current sensor and does not need to be replaced. Steering functionality is not affected and the driver should not observe any change in steering behavior.
- Do not install a new EPAS gear as part of the repair for a PSCM DTC P0635:68.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the PSCM DTC. return the vehicle to the customer.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PSCM P0635:68 Power Steering Control Circuit: Event Information Sets due to a fault tolerant internal error in the PSCM current sensor. Possible Sources
- PSCM current sensor failure
- D1 CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM ALL MODULES
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CM DTCs) from all modules.
Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the PSCM or any other modules?
Yes DIAGNOSE the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the PSCM and other vehicle modules.For the PSCM, REFER to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart .For other vehicle modules, REFER to the appropriate DTC Chart. No CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If there are no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present and there are no service articles associated with this concern and the concern cannot be verified, RETURN the vehicle to the customer.
