Fig. 10 Testing igniter:

1. Remove the igniter.
2. Make the circuit shown with suitable wiring and a test lamp (use a 12 volt bulb of less than 12w capacity).
3. Quickly operate the switch ON and OFF, and make sure that the test lamp flashes.
4. If the lamp does not flash, replace the igniter.
5. Repeat test for both leading and trailing igniters.
