Abs-2 - Open Isolation Solenoid Circuit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ABS control unit harness connector terminal "C" and chassis ground. See Fig 1
. If resistance is 3-6 ohms, replace ABS control unit. If resistance is greater than 6 ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect solenoid valve harness connector from solenoid valve connector. Check resistance between isolation solenoid terminal and ground terminal of solenoid valve. See Fig 2
.
- If resistance is 3-6 ohms, repair open in isolation solenoid wire between solenoid valve and ABS control unit. Check for dirty or loose terminals. If resistance is greater than 6 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
