Abs-2 - Open Isolation Solenoid Circuit

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ABS control unit harness connector terminal "C" and chassis ground. See Fig 1 . If resistance is 3-6 ohms, replace ABS control unit. If resistance is greater than 6 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect solenoid valve harness connector from solenoid valve connector. Check resistance between isolation solenoid terminal and ground terminal of solenoid valve. See Fig 2 .
  4. If resistance is 3-6 ohms, repair open in isolation solenoid wire between solenoid valve and ABS control unit. Check for dirty or loose terminals. If resistance is greater than 6 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
