DTC P1523 - Variable Induction Control System (VICS), Open Or Short Circuit: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects open or short circuit in VICS solenoid valve system with ignition switch on. Possible causes are:

• VICS solenoid valve malfunction.
• Open or short circuit between terminal "A" on VICS solenoid valve and main relay.
• Open or short circuit between terminal "B" on VICS solenoid valve and terminal 4K on Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
