Test 1: No Communication With Passive Anti-Theft System Module

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect PATS module harness connector (T245). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminal No. 2 (Red/Light Green wire) at PATS module harness connector and ground. See Figure . If 10 volts or greater exist at both terminals, go to next step. If 10 volts or greater does not exist at both terminals, go to step  3 .
  2. Remove fuse No. 19 (25-amp). Measure resistance between terminal No. 2 (Red/Light Green wire) at PATS module harness connector and circuit of CJB fuse 19 (25-amp). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repeat PATS diagnostic tests. Clear DTCs. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Red/Light Green wire between PATS module and circuit of CJB fuse 19 (25-amp). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 (Black/White wire) at PATS module connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repeat PATS diagnostic tests. Clear DTCs. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black/White wire between PATS module and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Clear DTCs. Test system for normal operation.
