Mode 2: EGR System Repair Verification

  1. Perform Drive Mode 1 first. See MODE 1: PCM ADAPTIVE MEMORY PROCEDURE  .
  2. Verify all accessory loads (A/C, headlights, blower fan and rear window defroster) are off.
  3. Drive the vehicle as specified. See Fig 1 .
  4. Stop the vehicle and access to on-board system readiness menu to check the drive mode completion status. See ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS TESTS ACCESS PROCEDURE  .
    • If completed, RFC changes from "NO" to "YES".
    • If not completed, turn ignition off, go back to step  3 .
  5. Access to diagnostic monitoring test results menu to check the monitor results. See DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS  . If measurements are not within specification, repair has not been completed.
  6. Verify no DTCs are available.
