Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

The B2300 pickup and Tribute 2.0L use a Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor. See CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE SENSOR .

The ECT sensor is a thermistor device which changes resistance proportionate to temperature changes. The ECT sensor inputs engine coolant temperature to the PCM. For ECT sensor location, see CHT & ECT SENSOR LOCATIONS  table.
