Fuel System Pressure Release: Mazda6
WARNING:
Fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure even when the engine is not running.
- Remove the fuel-filler cap and release the pressure in the fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel pump relay. See Fig 1.
- Start the engine.
- After the engine stalls, crank the engine several times.
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Install the fuel pump relay.
