Generator Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
- When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the battery negative cables before performing the following operation.
- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover and splash shield as a single unit.
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Position the drive belt out of the way. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT .)
- Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
- Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
