Brake switch circuit problem |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM monitors the change in the input voltage for brake switch No. and No..If the PCM detects that both brake switches No. and No. remain on or off for 15 s
, it determines that the brake switch circuit has a malfunction.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (Other).
- MIL does not illuminate.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
- DTCs are stored in PCM memory.

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Brake switch malfunction
- Open circuit between brake switch terminal A and PCM terminal 3T
- Open circuit between brake switch terminal C and body ground
- Short to the power between brake switch terminal A and PCM terminal 3T
- Short to the ground circuit between brake switch terminal A and PCM terminal 3T
- PCM malfunction
