STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY SUPPLY VOLTAGE
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Accessory delay relay.
  • Key ON.
  • Measure the voltage between ground and accessory delay relay:
    • pin 85, circuit (B/LG).
    • pin 30, circuit (R).
  • Are both voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes Go to next step.
No Verify smart junction box (SJB) fuses 6 (10A) and 16 (30A) are OK. If the fuses are OK, install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) . Test the system for normal operation.
2 CHECK ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY COIL VOLTAGE
  • Close all doors.
  • Key OFF.
  • With the doors still closed, measure the voltage between ground and accessory delay relay pin 85, circuit (B/LG).
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Go to next step.
No Install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) . Test the system for normal operation.
3 CHECK ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY COIL GROUND CIRCUIT (B) FOR AN OPEN
  • Key OFF.
  • Measure the resistance between accessory delay relay connector pin 86, circuit (B) and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes install a new accessory delay relay. Test the system for normal operation.
No Install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) . Test the system for normal operation.
