Normal Operation

The WDS or equivalent tester connects to the data link connector (DLC) D-01 to communicate with the standard corporate protocol (SCP), controller area network (CAN), and the international standards organization (ISO) 9141 communication networks. If communication cannot be established, the WDS or equivalent tester and the DLC D-01 must be checked for damage. If the WDS or equivalent tester and the DLC D-01 are OK, circuit (O) must be checked for voltage and ground circuits (B), and (B/W) must be checked for an open condition.
