Normal Operation

Under normal operation, voltage is provided to the one-touch down (OTD) relay switch and coil from the accessory delay relay. Ground for the OTD relay coil is supplied by the smart junction box (SJB) when an OTD command is sensed from the driver window control switch through circuits (Y/V) and (L/GY).

Possible Causes

ONE TOUCH DOWN (OTD) FEATURE IS INOPERATIVE - PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 4 THE ONE-TOUCH DOWN (OTD) FEATURE IS INOPERATIVE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK CIRCUIT (L/GY) FOR AN OPEN
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Smart junction box (SJB) J-2280d.
  • Disconnect: Driver window motor, 0912-204.
  • Measure the resistance between SJB J-2280d pin 16, circuit (L/GY) and driver window motor, 0912-204 pin 1, circuit (L/GY.)
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes Carry out the one-touch relay component test. See table at the end of this pinpoint test. If the relay tests OK, install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) , . Test the system for normal operation.
No Repair circuit (L/GY) for an open. Test the system for normal operation.
