Symptom and Conditions
2006-2008 Vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) cannot be disabled or reprogrammed to a lower or higher tire pressure.
Repair Procedure
This system is required by Federal regulation. Federal law prohibits dealers from disabling TPMS. If a dealer disables TPMS, the dealer can be subject to fines of $6,000 per vehicle. Aftermarket wheels and tires are not recommended.
