STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE DEACTIVATOR SWITCH CIRCUITRY
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Cruise Control Servo 0120-101.
  • Key in ON position.
  • Measure the voltage between the cruise control servo 0120-101 pin 9 circuit V/O, harness side and the cruise control servo 0120-101 pin 10 circuit B/GY, harness side.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Install a new cruise control servo.
See CRUISE CONTROL SERVO REMOVAL / INSTALLATION .
No Go to next step.
2 CHECK DEACTIVATOR SWITCH POWER
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Brake Pressure Switch 0120-104.
  • Key in ON position.
  • Measure the voltage between the brake pressure switch 0120-104 pin 1 circuit L/W, harness side and ground.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes Go to next step.
No Verify the smart junction box fuse 26 (2A) is OK. If OK, Repair the L/W circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
3 CHECK CIRCUIT V/O FOR AN OPEN
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Measure the resistance between the cruise control servo 0120-101 pin 9 circuit V/O, harness side and the brake pressure switch 0120-04 pin 2, circuit V/O, harness side.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes Install a new brake pressure switch.
See CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATOR SWITCH REMOVAL / INSTALLATION . Test the system for normal operation.
No Repair the V/O circuit. Test the system for normal operation.
