Test G: Charging System Warning Indicator Is Off With Ignition Switch In Run Position & Engine Off (3.0L)

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect generator connector X-102a. See Figure. Connect fused (15-amp) jumper wire between generator connector terminal No. 1 (Light Green/Red wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. If charging system warning indicator illuminates, replace generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If charging system warning indicator does not illuminate, inspect instrument cluster for possible fault.
