DTC P0101: Notes
DTC P0101 DETECTION & CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSES
| DTC P0101 |
MAF sensor circuit range/performance problem |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM compares the actual MAF amount with the expected MAF amount when the engine is running.
- If the throttle opening angle is more than 50%
and the MAF amount is less than 9 g/s {1.2 lb/min} (less than 1.4 V)
, the PCM determines that there is a MAF sensor circuit range/performance problem.
- If the ECT is more than 70 °C {158 °F}
, the engine speed is less than 2,000 rpm
and the MAF amount is more than 65 g/s {8.6 lb/min} (more than 2.8 V)
, the PCM determines that there is a MAF sensor circuit range/performance problem.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
