DTC P2504 DETECTION & CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSES

Charging system voltage high |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM monitors the generator output voltage and the battery voltage when the engine is running. If the generator output voltage is more than 18.4 V
or the battery voltage is more than 15.9 V
, the PCM determines that the charging system voltage is high.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (Other).
- The MIL does not illuminate.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

- Generator malfunction
- Connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between generator terminal D and PCM terminal 21
- PCM malfunction
