Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor Inspection

  1. Switch the ignition to off.
  2. Disconnect the brake pipe flare nut.
  3. Disconnect the brake hose (LF).
  4. Remove the bracket.

  5. Install the SSTs  to the brake pipe as shown in the figure.
  6. Perform air bleeding of the SST  and brake line from bleeder screw A.

  7. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  8. Select the "MCYLI_P" PID. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .
  9. Start the engine.
  10. Depress the brake pedal, and verify that the fluid pressure value of the SST  (gauge) and the value shown on the M-MDS are equal.
  11. Remove the SSTs  after the inspection and install the bracket, brake hose and brake pipe to their original positions. See BRAKE HOSE (FRONT) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  12. Perform air bleeding of the brake line. See AIR BLEEDING .
