Abs/TCS HU/Cm Removal/Installation: Notes
CAUTION:
- When replacing the ABS/TCS HU/CM, the configuration procedure must be done before removing the ABS/TCS HU/CM. If the configuration is not completed before removing the ABS/TCS HU/CM, ABS/TCS will not work properly after installation of the ABS/TCS HU/CM.
- The internal parts of the ABS/TCS HU/CM could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the ABS/TCS HU/CM. Replace the ABS/TCS HU/CM if it is subjected to an impact.
- Remove the following parts:
- Windshield wiper arm and blade. See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
- Cowl grille. See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
- Windshield wiper motor. See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
- Cowl panel. See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
- For the vehicles with MZI-3.7, remove the power steering reserve tank component. See POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7] .
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add brake fluid, bleed the brakes, and inspect for leakage after the installation has been completed. See AIR BLEEDING .
- Configurate the ABS/TCS HU/CM (only when replacing it). See ABS/TCS HU/CM CONFIGURATION .
- Clear the DTCs from the memory. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS/TCS] .
