ECT Sensor No. 1

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC] ).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS ).
  4. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC] ).
  5. Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  6. Remove the air duct. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  7. Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 1 connector.
  8. Remove the ECT sensor No. 1.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Refill the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS ).
