Body Control Module (BCM) Removal/Installation
CAUTION:
- When replacing the BCM, always perform the configuration procedure before removing the BCM. Replacing the BCM without performing the configuration procedure will result in a system malfunction.
- When replacing the BCM, perform the configuration. (See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) CONFIGURATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the following parts:
- Dashboard under cover (passenger's side) (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Center console box (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Center console (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G66M-R] .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side panel (See SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front scuff plate (passenger's side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front side trim (passenger's side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Lower panel (passenger's side) (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the connector shown below.
- Remove the wiring harness clip and connector clip shown below.
- Remove the wiring harness clip shown below.
- Remove the wiring harness clip shown below.
- Disconnect the connectors shown below.
- Remove the nuts as shown.
- Remove the BCM.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform steering angle sensor initialization. (See STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .)
