Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR SAS CONTROL MODULE Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (Refer to DTC TABLE [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (Refer to DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Then go to Step 5.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR DSC HU/CM Perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (Refer to ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (Refer to ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Then go to Step 5.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE (RBCM) Perform the rear body control module (RBCM) DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE (RBCM)] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (Refer to DTC TABLE [REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE (RBCM)] .) Then go to Step 5.
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE) Clear vehicle control module (V/C-module) DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE)] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine on). Perform the vehicle control module (V/C-module) DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE)] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step. (Refer to DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear vehicle control module (V/C-module) DTCs using the M-MDS. (Refer to CLEARING DTC [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (Refer to CLEARING DTC [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine on). Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 3 min or more . Perform the vehicle control module (V/C-module) DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE)] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction does not recur, go to the next step. If the malfunction recurs, replace the vehicle control module (V/C-module). (Refer to VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM] .) Go to the next step.
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT Verify other DTCs displayed. Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
