ECT Sensor No. 1

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the plug hole plate. (Refer to PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
Pull out the evaporative hose No. 1 from the catch tank and set it aside.

Remove the clip from the bracket and loosen the wiring harness.

Set the wiring harness aside.

Disconnect the ECT sensor No. 1 connector.
Remove the ECT sensor No. 1 using the SST.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Refill the engine coolant. (Refer to ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
