Auto leveling sensor circuit malfunction |
| Detection condition |
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module detected the auto leveling sensor circuit voltage of 0.25 V or less
or 4.75 V or more
for 10 s or more
with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

| Fail-safe |
- The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
- The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.

| Possible cause |
- Auto leveling sensor connector or terminal malfunction
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal I- Auto leveling sensor terminal C
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal K- Auto leveling sensor terminal B
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal C- Auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal I- Auto leveling sensor terminal C
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal K- Auto leveling sensor terminal B
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal C- Auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal I- Auto leveling sensor terminal C
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal K- Auto leveling sensor terminal B
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module terminal C- Auto leveling sensor terminal A
- Auto leveling sensor malfunction
- Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction
