DTC U2005-86: Error Signal Received From Pcm: Notes

DTC U2005:86 (Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) Control Module) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Error Signal Received From PCM
Detection condition
  • The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module received vehicle speed signal error from the PCM for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
Fail-safe
  • The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
  • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible Cause
  • DTCs are stored in the PCM.
  • PCM malfunction
  • Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction
