SYSTEM SCREEN DISPLAYED IN MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY/MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY INDICATION UNMATCHED DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER Inspect the multi-information display using the M-MDS instrument cluster active command modes LCD_SEG. (See ACTIVE COMMAND MODES INSPECTION [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER] .) Is the multi-information display indicated normally?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2	VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONNECTOR CONDITION Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Disconnect the instrument cluster connector. Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection. Is the connector normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Repair or replace the connector.
3	INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH Inspect the cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM] .) Is the cruise control switch normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the steering switch/cruise control switch. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM] .)
4	INSPECT RADAR UNIT Inspect the radar unit. (See RADAR UNIT INSPECTION .) Is the radar unit normal?	Yes	Symptom troubleshooting is completed.
4		No	Replace the radar unit. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
