Knock Sensor (KS) Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Seal cover (See SEAL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    2. Front suspension tower bar (Vehicles with front suspension tower bar) (See FRONT SUSPENSION TOWER BAR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    3. Intake manifold (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Disconnect the KS connector.
  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Remove the KS. (See KS INSTALLATION NOTE ).
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
