Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY VEHICLE COLLISION Explain to the customer that the vehicle was hit. Has the vehicle been hit?	Yes	Replace the SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ).
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Reconnect all the disconnected connectors. Reconnect the disconnected negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ). Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC (SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)) ). Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION (SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)) ). Is DTC B143A:00 displayed?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the SAS control module, then go to the next step. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] ).
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE (SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)) ).
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
