DTC U2300-54: Configuration Data Not Received From Instrument Cluster [Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Control Module]: Notes

DTC U2300:54 [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Configuration data not received from instrument cluster
Detection condition
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module cannot receive the configuration signal it is supposed to receive.
Fail-safe
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.
Possible cause  
NOTE:
  • To correctly write the configuration data sent from the instrument cluster to the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module to the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module, 30 s or more need to have elapsed since the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on).
  • DTCs are stored in the instrument cluster.
    • Instrument cluster configuration not implemented
  • Instrument cluster internal memory malfunction
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module malfunction
