DTC U2005:68 [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) DTCs AGAIN Clear the DTC for the front body control module (FBCM) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the front body control module (FBCM) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Go to Step 8.
2	VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTCs Retrieve the DSC HU/CM DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [DSC HU/CM] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY PCM DTCs Retrieve the PCM DTCs using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5T)] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5T)] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR Inspect the ABS wheel-speed sensor (LF), (RF), (LR) and (RR). (See FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION .) (See REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION [2WD] .) (See REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR INSPECTION [AWD] .) Are ABS wheel-speed sensor (LF), (RF), (LR) and (RR) normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Replace the ABS wheel-speed sensor, then go to Step 7. (See FRONT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [2WD] .) (See REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AWD] .)
5	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS DSC HU/CM DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the DTC for the front body control module (FBCM) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the front body control module (FBCM) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5		No	Go to Step 8.
6	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS PCM DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the DTC for the front body control module (FBCM) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the front body control module (FBCM) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .)
6		No	Go to Step 8.
7	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the front body control module (FBCM) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the front body control module (FBCM) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the front body control module (FBCM). (See FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
7		No	Go to the next step.
8	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM)] .)
8		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
