DTC C0051:86 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY START STOP UNIT DTCs Retrieve the start stop unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Is the DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [START STOP UNIT] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) CONTROL MODULE DTCs Retrieve the electric power steering (EPS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) CONTROL MODULE DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the electric power steering (EPS) control module, then go to the next step. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to Step 5.
4	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more. Retrieve the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module, then go to the next step. (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
			Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
5	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	(See DTC TABLE [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] .)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
