DTC U2300-55: Instrument Cluster Configuration Not Implemented [Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) Control Module]: Notes

DTC U2300:55 [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Instrument cluster configuration not implemented
Detection condition
  • The adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module received a signal which indicates the instrument cluster configuration is not performed.
Fail-safe
  • The swivel actuator is moved to the center.
  • The headlight leveling actuator is stopped at the position when the malfunction is determined.
Possible cause  
NOTE:
  • To correctly write the configuration data sent from the instrument cluster to the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module to the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module, 30 s or more need to have elapsed since the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on).
  • Instrument cluster configuration is not completed.
  • Instrument cluster malfunction
  • Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module malfunction
