DTC B00A0:28 - SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (AS-BUILT DATA USE) Perform the SAS control module configuration using the M-MDS. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA) [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
2	INSPECT SEAT CUSHION Inspect the seat cushion. Is the seat cushion damp?	Yes	Dry the seat cushion. Perform the DTC inspection again. If the same DTC is displayed, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT FRONT SEAT WARMER Inspect the front seat warmer. (See FOREWORD [SEAT WARMER SYSTEM] .) Is the front seat warmer normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the front seat warmer. After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed, go the next step. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
4	INSPECT PASSENGER-SIDE FRONT SEAT Switch the ignition off. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Remove the passenger-side seat and visually inspect for the following: Seat under-bracket deformation Seat frame deformation Foreign objects stuck in seat Are any of the parts deformed or are any foreign objects stuck in the seat?	Yes	Remove the foreign objects or replace the malfunctioning part. (See FRONT SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed, go the next step. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	INSPECT FLOOR Visually inspect the installation parts of the front passenger-side seat for the following: Abnormal floor deformation Installation hole of front passenger-side seat is improperly positioned Is the floor normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	Repair floor deformation. After repair, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed even though the floor has been repaired, go the next step. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
6	INSPECT OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR Replace the occupant classification sensor. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] ) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the occupant classification sensor. (See FRONT SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed even though the occupant classification sensor has been replaced, replace the SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
