Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION LINE Perform an inspection in accordance with the multiplex communication system diagnostic procedure. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .) Is the CAN communication line normal?	Yes	Replace the telematics communication unit and perform the repair completion verification. (See TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
1		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .)
Repair completion verification	VERIFY IF OTHER DTC IS DISPLAYED Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
Repair completion verification		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
