DTC B14F7:76 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE - WITH PARKING ASSIST UNIT (OPTICAL)

System malfunction location Improper positioning of camera/aiming error
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects any of the following conditions.
    • Parking assist unit (optical) detects an aiming error condition for 10 s.
      • Parking assist unit (optical) detects that the rear mount camera is positioned improperly for 5 min while driving.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • Rear mount camera poor installation
  • Aiming error
  • Parking assist unit (optical) malfunction
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
